FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If you have a question that is not addressed in our frequently asked questions, please send an email to ramblejammn@gmail.com.

Q: How do I get a ticket?

A: Tickets must be purchased from our website. All sales are final: no refunds, exchanges or returns. Ramble Jam is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, duplicated or forgotten tickets. DO NOT remove your event wristband if you intend to re-enter.  If you have removed or altered your event wristband, there is no re-entry permitted without paying for another ticket at gate price.

Q: What if it rains during the festival?

A: We are from Minnesota. Ramble Jam takes place regardless of the weather. Come prepared for rain, sun or even snow. In the event of inclement weather, a performance can be interrupted, delayed and/or cancelled at the discretion of the management or artists. The show will resume, if possible, as soon as weather permits. No refunds will be given for delays, interruptions or cancellations due to inclement weather.

Q: Can I bring my own food and beverages into the concert bowl?

A: No outside food or beverages are allowed in the concert bowl. You will be searched at the entrance to the concert bowl, including your bags, purse, chair, etc. Expect that anything you try to bring into the concert bowl will be confiscated. Ramble Jam is a fundraiser. Proceeds from food and beverage sales support the mission and projects of the Rotary Club of Farmington.

Q: Can I purchase food and beverages in the concert bowl?

A: There will be food, beverages and alcohol available for purchase inside the concert bowl.

Q: Do I need a wristband to consume alcohol?

A: Yes. Everyone who wishes to drink alcohol or beer anywhere on the fairgrounds, including the campground and concert bowl, must have a 21+ wristband. You must bring a valid photo ID to obtain a 21+ wristband. Anyone without a 21+ wristband cannot consume alcoholic beverages. Anyone caught consuming alcohol without a 21+ wristband, or caught providing alcohol to those without a 21+ wristband, will be removed from the festival grounds.

Q: Is there security on site?

A: Ramble Jam security and the Dakota County Sheriff’s deputies are on duty. No coolers, food, beverages, alcohol or weapons can be brought in the festival concert area. Anyone causing problems or in violation of event rules, regulations, local, state or federal law will be removed from the festival concert area and/or fairgrounds and/or arrested.

Q: What time does the concert bowl gate open?

A: The concert bowl opens at 4 p.m. on Friday and 12 noon on Saturday. These times are subject to change without notice.

Q: Are there reserved seats? Can I bring a lawn chair?

A: There is no reserved seating. Guests are allowed to bring a lawn chair. Chaise lounges are not allowed. Lawn chair seating will be designated by security and chairs must remain in these areas and removed at the end of each evening. Leave the bag for your lawn chair at home as chairs will be searched at the gate, and you know how cumbersome it is to get those chairs out of their bag. Tables and chairs will be provided for VIP guests in and around the VIP hospitality tent.

Q: Can I upgrade my ticket to VIP at the event?

A: Yes, but only if VIP tickets are not sold out. If tickets are available, there will be an additional cost payable at time of upgrade. Watch for signs at the concert bowl entrance.

Q: Where do I park and how much is it?

A: Parking is free in designated areas only. Violators will have their vehicle towed and impounded at the vehicle owner’s expense.

Q: Is there handicap accessibility, restrooms and parking?

A: Yes. There will be a handicap seating area. Remember that Ramble Jam is outside. There will be a handicap accessible portable restroom. Limited handicap parking is available near the concert bowl entrance. You must have a State-provided handicap-parking permit to use that space.

Q: What if I get hurt?

A: Emergency medical personnel are available on the festival grounds during concerts. Anyone attending Ramble Jam does so at his or her own risk. No liability is assumed by Ramble Jam or its organizers, owners, managers, promoters, sponsors or others associated with the event.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: Pets are allowed in the campground but must be leashed when outside of your unit. Pets are not allowed in or near the concert bowl area. Service dogs require proper documentation.

Q: Is smoking allowed?

A: Smoking is permitted in designated areas only.

Q: Are discounted tickets available for children?

A: We do not offer a discounted children’s ticket. Children are welcome to attend but an event ticket must be purchased. Please remember that Ramble Jam is really an adult event. Children 15 and under should be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Q: Is camping available?

A: Yes. There are limited campsites with electric and water hookups. We can’t guarantee a water hookup will be available for all electric sites. For a true North Country experience, we offer primitive camper and tent sites. Check out the Accommodations section for campground rules and details.

Q: Are there other places I can stay?

A: Yes. Check out the Accommodations section for various hotels in the immediate area.

Q: Will there be shuttles from hotels or other establishments?

A: Yes. Please check the Accommodations section for shuttle information.  There will be a fee for the shuttle service.

Q: Can I take pictures?

A: Yes, with your normal camera or cell phone. No professional video recording or photography equipment is allowed in the festival area. This includes cameras with detachable lenses.

Q: Is there an ATM available?

A: Yes there will be an ATM in the festival area.

Q: Can I leave the event and return later?

A: Yes. There is a re-entry gate.  DO NOT remove your event wristband.  If you have removed or altered your event wristband, there is no re-entry permitted without paying for another ticket at gate price.

Q: Can we go to our vehicle in the parking lot between artists and party and/or drink?

A: No. There is absolutely no tailgating, gathering, partying, drinking, etc. allowed in the parking lot area. The parking lot is leased space by the Farmington Rotary. All beverages discovered there will be confiscated.

Q: I bought my ticket just to see a certain artist. Could the lineup change?

A: Yes, the lineup can change without notice. Most artist contracts include a cancellation clause – meaning they can cancel on us after signing a contract – and of course, people get sick. Nothing in life is ever a sure thing.

Q: How can I get a refund?

A: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Q: Can you help me get home after I’ve been drinking?

A: Designate a driver or plan for a sober ride home. We also suggest you make use of one of the ride-sharing companies such as Uber or Lyft if you do not have a sober driver. Cabs may sometimes be available at the conclusion of each night, but Ramble Jam does not make arrangements with cab companies. Local law enforcement and the Dakota County Sherriff’s deputies will be watching for impaired drivers.
