Ramble Jam is the annual fundraiser operated by the Rotary Club of Farmington. All proceeds benefit Farmington Rotary’s local and international service projects.

The Rotary motto is SERVICE ABOVE SELF.  Members of the Farmington Rotary Club exemplify that motto in the community, in the workplace and throughout the world. We have been dedicated to making a difference since 2002.

Here are a few of the service projects that Ramble Jam supports:

STRIVE – Students Taking Renewed Interest and Value in Education.  The purpose of the STRIVE program is to motivate high school seniors to discover their own strengths and talents to increase their personal and academic achievements. Further incentives are offered through scholarships for secondary education at a college chosen by the student.

PARK & REC YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS – This program provides youth the opportunity to participate in lessons, programs and activities offered by the Farmington Parks & Recreation that enrich their lives physically, mentally and socially.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS – This program provides youth the opportunity to participate in lessons and programs offered by Farmington Community Education that enrich their lives academically and socially.

SENIOR HOLIDAY LUNCHEON – Each year, Farmington Rotary hosts a holiday luncheon in December for senior citizens so they can celebrate the season with music and dance from Farmington youth… and a visit from the big guy with a bag full of gifts for everyone.

FARMINGTON FOOD SHELF – Annually members contribute to the local food shelf with donations. In 2009, the food shelf was able to purchase new shelving with Rotary donations. This is an area that members recently highlighted in a vision process to strengthen our support.

ROTARY FAMILY SUPPORT FUND – Farmington Rotary provides financial support for enrichment activities for children, such as field trips and extra curricular activities.

Farmington Rotary contributes annual to PolioPlus, the Rotary International initiative for the eradication of Polio.

Funded a Sereology Laboratory in Yendube with fellow Rotarians from the Northfield Rotary Club.

Funded a library project in a Bolivia orphanage that include rehabilitation of the library and books for the children.
